Getting Zen Studio installed is the first thing you need to do before you can program scripts, configure mouse and keyboard, or do anything else with your Cronus Zen. This guide walks you through the full download and setup process in plain English.
Make sure your system and gear are ready before you download anything.
Before you start
Follow these steps exactly as shown in the video to get Zen Studio installed.
Always download the most recent build available on the page — the version number may be higher than what you see in the video, and that is completely normal.
The download starts automatically once you click the build button. You do not need to change any browser settings or disable anything to get it going.
The download does not start automatically. Try a different browser or check that your browser is not blocking automatic downloads. Most modern browsers prompt you if a download is blocked — look for a notification bar at the top or bottom of the screen.
The installer will not open. Make sure you are running Windows 10 or Windows 11. Earlier versions of Windows are not confirmed to be supported based on the video's requirements.
You see a Windows security prompt. This is normal for new software installs. Click Run anyway or More info → Run anyway if Windows SmartScreen appears. The software is from the official Cronus Zen downloads page.
You are not sure which build to download. Always pick the one listed at the top of the downloads page — it will be the most current stable release.
What is Zen Studio used for? Zen Studio is the software you install on your PC to program scripts, set up mouse and keyboard support, and manage everything on your Cronus Zen device. Without it, you cannot fully configure the hardware.
Do I need a specific version of Windows? Yes — Windows 10 or Windows 11 is required, as stated in the video. Other operating systems are not mentioned as supported.
The version number on the page is different from the video — is that okay? Completely fine. The video was recorded with build 1.61 build 82, but Zen Studio gets updated. Just download whatever the current version is when you visit the page.
Where can I learn how to program scripts after installing Zen Studio? The channel behind this guide covers tutorials for scripts, mouse and keyboard setup, and more. You can also browse ready-to-use script builds at Yew Scripts once you have Zen Studio up and running.
